DAS Audio AERO-40A

The AERO-40A is a three-way powered line array system featuring connectivity for remote monitoring and control. It incorporates a rear-loading DAS 12GNRC woofer for low-frequency reproduction. The midrange is reproduced by means of a new DAS 8AN4 speaker developed specifically for the AERO-40A. The reproduction of high frequencies falls on two DAS M-75N compression drivers coupled to the new BPS-2912 waveguide.

The high-efficiency, three-channel Class D amplifier design incorporates a switched mode power supply (SMPS) and a comprehensive protection system for both the amplifier and components. The first channel supplies power for the low-frequency pathway, the second for the high-mids, and the third for the compression drivers.

The AERO-40A incorporates the latest in digital signal processors. FIR Brickwall filters allow for perfect alignment between vias and exceptional coverage uniformity, even at crossover frequencies. Built-in top-of-the-line AD/DA converters add improved dynamics, reduced distortion and ultra-low noise levels. Remote monitoring and control is accomplished through the DASnet™ audio management system for powered cabinets and processors, which offers users instant and intuitive insight into system status, as well as control over a range of parameters from one single enclosure or a network of systems.

The AERO-40A's cabinet is constructed of birch plywood and finished in a highly durable ISO-flex black paint. Three individual assemblies that comprise the high frequency waveguide, the horn for the 8” mid-range speaker and the seat for the 12” speaker, are made of injected aluminum and attached to the front of the enclosure. Assembled at the rear is a heatsink made up of two pieces of injected aluminum that house the amplifier and related electronic components.
