  • Palmer PDI 06 L16 - Power Attenuator 16 Ohms

    €380.07

Palmer Power Attenuator - Control the volume of your guitar amp

The PDI06 is a power attenuator for live applications. The device is connected between the amplifier output and the speaker cabinet. It makes it possible to use the popular power stage distortion of tube amplifiers while reducing the associated high volume level. This permits practical volume reduction in five increments from 100% to 18% for stage and practice room situations. An additional level makes the speaker completely mute; the PDI06 then functions as a LOAD BOX and absorbs the entire output power of the amplifier.

This mode of operation is useful, for example, when connecting an amplifier equipped with a speaker cabinet emulation directly to the mixing desk using an existing line-out and loud volume levels in the recording booth are undesirable. The unit has an input for the speaker signal from the amplifier and two outputs for connecting speaker cabinets.

The total impedance of the speakers must equal the value shown on the PDI06. Example: the outputs of a PDI06, that is specified for 8 ohms, can be connected to one 8 ohm cabinet or two 16 ohm cabinets (the 16 ohm version has only one output). The output of the (tube) amplifier is also set to 8 ohms.

  • Palmer PAN 04 A - Active 2-Channel DI Box

    €212.79

The Palmer PAN04A is 2-channel DI box for feeding asymmetrical and high impedance electric instrument signals into a mixing desk’s microphone inputs. It delivers a transformer balanced, low impedance signal to the outputs and eliminates mains hum and interference caused by ground loops. The active switch leaves the frequency response unaffected and achieves a high dynamic range. In addition to 6.35 mm direct outputs and -30 dB switchable input attenuation, the DI box also features a mono output that sums both channels. The PAN04A is designed to be exceptionally robust and is suitable for both stage and studio. It can be powered with 9 to 24 V DC mains adapters or phantom power when two outputs are connected to a mixer.

  • Palmer MONICON® W - Passive Monitor Controller White Limited Edition

    €94.71

Palmer Monicon®, and the volume is right!

With Palmer Monicon®, your monitor volume is always under control. The passive mini-mixer with the oversized control is inserted between the stereo output of the notebook, PC or interface and an active monitor system and thus permits convenient and precise volume control of the monitors from the workstation. The passive circuitry with only a few components has absolutely no affect on the sound. Mute and mono buttons make it possible to mute the outputs and merge the stereo output signal into a mono master signal.

The inputs and outputs of the controller are equipped with XLR connectors and the 3.5mm stereo TRS sockets usually found on computers. Combo input sockets also permit connection with 6.3 mm TRS plugs. Thus the Palmer Monicon® is compatible with both professional and consumer equipment. Genuine wood sides make the practical studio tool in its massive powder-coated sheet steel housing an elegant looking little helper" that is a typical Palmer product.

  • Palmer LI 06 - Line Level Converter 2 In 1 Out

    €123.00

Today, lectures and presentations are mostly held with audio and visual media support. Connecting laptop computers to the mixing consoles of PA systems, however, can be a major problem due to incompatible connector formats. The Palmer Line Level Convertor PLI06 is a dedicated interface to feed the unbalanced stereo signal typically provided by a laptop to the balanced (mono) microphone inputs of professional mixing desks. It mixes the stereo output to mono while impedance matching and signal balancing are achieved by a high quality audio transformer especially designed for the unit. Moreover, it also prevents ground loops and the annoying hum they result in. The PLI06 is entirely passive and does not require mains power or batteries.

    Connecting the PLI06

Equipment providing audio output on RCA phono sockets is connected to the PLI06's inputs using a shielded RCA stereo cable. For best results with laptops we recommend using their headphones output which is usually on a 3.5 mm miniature stereo socket. Use a shielded TRS mini jack to 2x RCA phono cable for connection to the PLI06. Place the unit close to the signal source and keep the input cable as short as possible since the unbalanced signal path is susceptible to interference. The PLI06's output is on a standard wiring male XLR connector. Use a high quality microphone cable for connection to the mixing console. Due to the balanced lo-Z signal provided by the Palmer Line Level Converter cable lengths are uncritical while interference- free signal integrity is maintained.

  • Palmer LI 01 - Line Isolation Box 1 Channel

    €102.09

Mono isolation transformer (line isolator), equipped with 1/4 TRS jack sockets at both ends for balanced and unbalanced signals. Especially suitable for eliminating ground loops that cause hum. Conversion from unbalanced to balanced is possible. A two-channel version can be found under product number PLI05. Single channel unit in a small rugged diecast box. Especially useful in guitar rack systems where multiple signal processors and preamplifiers are combined. Also eliminates noise in car hifi when used to isolate power boosters.

  • Palmer DI-REVERSE - Reversed DI Box

    €110.70

Many try using a DI-Box “backwards” in order to convert a balanced signal to unbalanced. The resulting mismatch generally leads to disappointing results. The PDIR (DI-Reverse) offers a clean and reliable solution whilst additionally isolating the two connected devices via transformer.

  • Palmer PAN 16 - 19 DI Box 8 Channels passive"

    €392.37

The Palmer PAN16 is an 8 channel passive DI box in a 19 1U rack format. Through the special MERGE LINK/IN function, the front LINK output can be used as a second input. The signal is then mono merged with the one from the INPUT jack through to the output. Thus, the PAN16 offers a maximum of 16 inputs. Two PAD buttons enable an attenuation of 10, 20 or 30 dB. The XLR outputs are electrically isolated and balanced via transformer. 8 additional LINK-sockets are also available on the rear panel of the device.

  • Palmer PAN 08 - 19 DI/Line Isolation Box 4 Channels active"

    €539.97

The PAN08 is a multifunctional device. Each of the four channels can be used independently as an active DI box, line isolation box or booster. The combination socket input accepts unbalanced and balanced signals. The output has dual transformer balanced XLR jacks (front and rear).

The signal level can be attenuated by 20 dB for microphone inputs, but can also be boosted in three stages by up to 18 dB for LINE inputs if necessary. With an output level of +12 dBu on a load of 600 Ohms with 0.05 % THD / 40 Hz and an output noise level of less than -110 dBu, the unit meets even high professional standards. One special feature that is worthy of mention is battery power. The supply voltage may range from 9 to 18 V. Thus the PAN08 can also be used without mains power outdoors.
